Description for the dive shop Atlantis Diving Centre Gozo Malta
• Anyone wishing to enjoy any recreational scuba diving, even in totally controlled conditions such as a swimming pool, must complete and sign a self-declaration Medical Statement form. The purpose of this medical questionnaire is to find out whether you should be examined by a physician or not before taking part in any underwater activity. A positive response means that a physician must be consulted.
Atlantis Diving Centre provides the service of a doctor specialised in diving medicine for those who require a medical check-up. Medical certificates from abroad are accepted. Though not required, we always recommend a doctor’s medical before going to the sea.
• The minimum age to participate in open water diving is 10 years. Divers under 18 years of age require written consent of a parent or guardian.
• Divers who are not yet qualified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, or BSAC Sports Diver, or CMAS two-star diver, or equivalent, are required to dive accompanied by an instructor at all times.
• Unless starting a beginner’s course, all divers must show proof of their qualification and experience, such as certification and logbook, before being able to dive.
• Unaccompanied divers must hire a car or jeep in order to reach dive sites, a service provided by Atlantis Diving Centre.

Steep, rugged cliffs, caves, valleys and picturesque rock formations dominate most of the Maltese Islands' dramatic coastline. Below the surface of the water, the scenery is as breathtaking as above with the single difference that divers have got the exclusivity of visiting it.
Atlantis Diving Centre gives you the opportunity to discover this unspoilt underwater natural beauty. The warm climate, crystal clear blue waters, virtually no tides or currents, and a prolific marine life are the right ingredients which keep divers coming back year after year. Most of the best dives are on north-west Gozo with its exceptionally spectacular caves, caverns, drop-offs, offshore reef structures, gullies, chimneys, tunnels and arches.
On the south coast we have also got the wrecks MV Xlendi, MV Cominoland and MV Karwela. Irrespective of your qualification, accompanied dives are led by experienced instructors. Diving around Gozo, Comino, Malta, on offshore reefs, or underneath high cliffs is done from either a hard or a semi-rigid boat. A few dives ought to be done from the shore, such as night dives, beginner dives, and other dives whose main fascination actually emerges when one starts from the shore; in such cases we use four-wheel-drive vehicles for transport.
As a PADI 5 Star& BSAC Training facility, Atlantis Diving Centre offers various courses leading to internationally recognised qualifications, from Scuba Diver up to instructor level, as well as speciality courses and Discover Scuba dives. Courses are run in many languages and whenever possible, the manual, DVD and other academic material of the respective language is used. Atlantis shop also sells a vast choice of diving equipment at very competitive prices. Other services offered include any diving equipment rental, servicing of equipment, air fills up to 300 bar from our own compressors and air banks, nitrox, trimix, accommodation, transfers, excursions, and car hire. Only steel tanks are used, thus reducing considerably the amount of weight carried on the weight belt.
