I'd like to say a huge thank you to Tom and the his team at Dahab Divers Technical (DDT) in Dahab Egypt.
I have been thinking of reaching those places you can't with typical recreational diving. Above all safely.
As a diver I LOVE being underwater and want to stay there as long as possible on dives.
I researched Technical diving, (after seeing these guys all over Dahab with their Tek Kit) and I whilst in Dahab I had been told by several experienced people that Tom and DDT were the go to people.
He has quite a well deserved reputation.
I contacted Tom and over the period of some 2 years !! I finally decided to take the plunge. That in it self is testament to Tom's patience.
That was my 1st good idea. DDT are a very organised outfit. Their dive center is run like a Swiss Watch. Uber clean, everything where it should be an with the newest and very best Tek equipment on the market.
DDT are situated above Dahab Divers, right in central Dahab, on the beach and next to a brand new pool - very nice surrounding indeed.
Tom apart from being an incredibly qualified Tech diver (see his site at http://www.dahabdiverstechnical.com) and ALSO a really nice bloke, ALSO speaks about 5 languages fluently (maybe more I lost count), so he can cater for anyone in their own language - which is IMHO while getting involved in Tek (buy it's very nature) very important.
He takes you step by step with masses of one to one time.
After one week of (for me) intensive technical diving - TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Pro, skills, drills, (thanks Gary and Adam) lots of theory and some truly amazing deep and long diving, I have to say I am totally hooked.
I will be back, to go for longer and deeper.
For anyone contemplating steps into the Tek world, or Advanced Teckies wanting to just dive or go indeed much further give DDT a bell - you will NOT regret it.

There is no perfect dive-centre, and that's why I gave this 5 stars, because this one comes pretty close.
As a side-effects of experience and skill, many people give themselves "diving-god" status. But here you've got highly experienced and skilled staff and they are all down to earth. Safety is top priority, and equipment is good.
I mean...to sum it up; look at the reviews! You can't go wrong!

I have completed all my TDI technical training with Tom, from Adv Nitrox to Adv Trimix (and many holidays in between). He and all his staff allways conduct themselves with friendly professionalism. His instruction, equipment & dive centre is first class and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have completed three courses at the centre now and each has been as enjoyable and well organised as the ones before. Every member of staff dives with the same high level of professionalism and I have certainly developed my knowledge and diving ability just by being around the high caliber staff at Dahab Divers Technical.
My recent Advanced Trimix course was another great course and thanks to Tom and Sameh in particular, but also Audrey, Simon and Damiano for their part in our success.

I have just returned from Dahab in Egypt and had my first major technical diving experience.
I could not have chosen a better technical dive center. DDT run by Tom and the team is quite exceptional and I could not have been in better hands. They have a lovely personal touch and go out of their way to tailor the right experience. Attention to detail is first rate and the whole operation is thoroughly professional.
Their enthusiasm for diving is totally "infectious" and all go out of their way to explain things clearly and in a non “pressurized” environment. This approach ensured I all picked things up quickly and I was able to enjoy the excitement of Trimix diving.
The dive sites are beautiful (coral and plenty of lovely and colorful fish) : lots of diverse caves, Canyon and the blue Hole !
If you want to learn to technical dive you couldn't find a better place or dive center. I have given it an exceptional rating because Tom and the team have given me all a first rate experience and left me wanting more.
A special thank to Audrey for all the underwater pictures and videos during the training course.

Dahab Divers Technical @ Dahab - THE place :)
I’ve been diving with different technical instructors/centers for a quite some time but nothing can be compared to quality and professionalism of DDT. Both their skills and personal attitude towards diving makes the learning quick, safe, effective – and last but not least pleasant from the surface to the bottom and back.
I was fed up with local chaos and mess so once I came into the DDT I've appreciated the organization and the order, perfect condition of equipment, level of service and customer care. The passion for diving plus the everyday mood Tom and Audrey generate gives comfort and convenience for anyone. In this conditions even the challenging training is a walk in the park of corals.

I have dived with Tom and his Crew at Dahab Divers Technical ( DDT ) many times over the past 5 years and have always recieved the highest level of Instuction and Professionalism shown to me, i recently did an Advanced Trimix Course and also a CCR Inspiration Course with Tom who throughout conducted the Training in a Solid and Understandable Fashion.
I would highly Reccomend DDT and its Owner Tom Stiener to anyone looking to further their Technical Diving Adventure.

In December 2010 I spent three weeks in Dahab, two of them with DDT.
First week I did my Extended Range course with Volkart, the second one Trimix with Tom. Both very professional but nice and kind too.
I had a "discover" side-mount dive with Audrey... was very cool! Next time in Dahab I think I'll do that course ;-)

I joined the club back in October 2008 by taking my 1st courses of Advanced Nitorx and Deco Procedures. Since then I have been diving with Dahab Divers Technical almost biweekly, continued my TEK education upto Advanced TRIMIX course. They are amazing in terms of Diving Knowledge, Safety procedures, organizational skills and logistics of deep dives....
Also their adventurous spirtit of exploring new Deep dive sites specially for TEK diving, away from all the recreational divers and their excessive finning!!!
So you can get the chance to go on some exploration dives and be the first into new dive sites

Some friends of mine took adv. nitrox and deco pro course in 2009 so in 2010 I decided to take the same courses.
The courses was given one on one, one teacher (Damiano) and me as student. Great courses that taught me a lot and also some very nice dives. Second week was a one week live-aboard to do adv. wreck course, (Tom was leading the course).
It's great to have a teacher with that amount of experience, 8000+ dives, focus on safety and no macho-shit (one of the most annoying aspects of diving). We were 5 students if I remember correctly and was taught the basic skills to lay line, jumps and how to plan a wreck dive. Took a while to do learn to lay line "fast" but got it in the end. We did dived,The Bar, thistlegorm and the most memorable Giannis D and Rosalie Mulle. Will return for normoxic trimix one day...

After completing my first every Techinal diving course with Volkat cannot recommend highly enough the staff and training at DDT. The dive centre is first class with everything in it place and correct. They have some of the latest equipment I have seen available at any dive centre. Tom and Volkat have a wealth of knowledge and experance that is second to none. Safety is always their first concern with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere it is a great place to learn Techinal diving. I have been back many time and have since become a PADI Techinal instructor and I hope I can keep the same first class standards that were taught to me by Volkat and Tom. Hope to see you guys again this year for my CCR Mod 1 & 2. Thanks again. Adam

I spent over 4 months in Dahab for the last year and now I can compare DDT dive center with others.
I think DDT facility one of the best tek dive center in Sinai and it only for tekkies. No any single tank tourists.
Perfect equipment (most of Apeks) and excellent professionals. Very competition prices. Thats way I choose it for my DecoPro, AdvNit and ExtRange courses.
