DV Diving is a PADI Five Star Dive Centre, TDI Facility, RYA Training Centre and HSE recognised scuba assessment centre based at Strangford Lough, County Down, Northern Ireland.
DV Diving offer one of Europe`s most comprehensive ranges of scuba, technical and commercial diving and powerboat training courses - for the complete beginner through to instructor development for the most experienced professionals. Many visiting divers return each year attracted by the clear waters around County Down and the great diversity of dive sites.
There are intact wrecks to explore, spectacular drop offs and exhilarating drift dives. All abilities can be catered for, choosing from the shelter of Strangford Lough with its wealth of marine life species in an unspoilt environment, to the more challenging, wreck strewn Irish Sea.
DV Diving is a registered IDEST Test House, registration number 4L. IDEST, Inspectorate for Diving Equipment Servicing and Testing was set up in 1985 with a view to providing an independent assessment for Test Houses. IDEST monitor and inspect equipment, personnel, documentation and records to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the appropriate British / European standard. DV Diving is currently the only IDEST accredited Test House in Northern Ireland.
To extend the life of your equipment and to reduce the chance of diving accidents due to its failure, it is vital that your dive gear be in good condition for every dive. Whether it`s a repair you need, an equipment upgrade or just a routine service, the fully qualified and experienced staff at DV Diving can meet your needs. If you are one of those people who have always wanted to try scuba diving but have never quite got round to it, then this is for you.
Try scuba diving for the first time in the safe and reassuring environment of the swimming pool. Go on - take the plunge and try it now! Discover scuba is a one evening session during which you will be introduced to scuba equipment, listen to a safety briefing and be allowed to try diving in the swimming pool under the direct supervision of an experienced professional instructor. At the start of the session you will be required to fill out some paper work. Part of this is a medical questionnaire.
You must book in advance. Please do not just turn up as there will be no equipment for you!
