Description for the dive shop Malapascua Exotic Island - Philippines

Malapascua Exotic Island Dive Resort is one of the leading 5-Star PADI Instructor Development Dive Resorts in the Philippines with well-trained, English and multi-lingual speaking staff and first class facilities. As a PADI National Geographic Dive Center we actively promote the benefits of environmental awareness and responsibility in diving.

We offer PADI courses and fun dives to divers of all certification levels and experience. Malapascua is well known for its elusive Thresher Sharks and Exotic was the first to dive with them in 1997! Now, 15 years later, we still run daily trips to see these majestic predators and we even offer a PADI Thresher Shark Specialty Course. And the Threshers are not all that Malapascua has to offer;
Manta Rays and Devil Rays are also spotted regularly and the muck diving is rated among the world’s best! We have 6 Boats so we can do many trips, cater for larger groups and be flexible with our schedules. We usually (unless otherwise requested) dive with small groups. We have 5 different types of well-maintained rooms in different price ranges, a highly acclaimed restaurant with an extensive menu offering European and Asian dishes, Sea View Bar and a Cozy Beach Garden with Hammocks. We are truly dedicated to providing highly professional services with a sense of warm Filipino hospitality!

In July-August 2012 I arrived in Malapascua to complete my EFR, Rescue Diver and DMT with Exotic Dive Resort. I was still realitivly new to diving, being only AOW since 2010, but I wanted to learn and gain more experience in diving.

Malapascua and Exotic more did more then just teach me, they showed me a new way of life as they surrounded me with brilliant and amazing like-minded diver's and Instructors that were always helpful,knowledgeable and professional.

The Diving in Malapascua is truly amazing, from diving sights like Pantaw-Pantaw to see the pigmy seahorses to getting on the early morning dive to sea the beautiful thresher sharks.

Exotic's staff always has safety in mind, and although there is minimal crime on Malapascua, exotic provides a guard at both entrances for customer safety.

I ended up closing in on 100 dives whilst in Malapscua doing these courses, so for the money that you pay for 3 courses, accommodation and unlimited dives, for the money its a bargain and if I could do it again i would.

My last review of this place is how welcoming Exotic and the staff and instructors were and how many of them became and still are good friends and though my experience with these people (and all the locals and the island) has made me consider going on to the Instructor level and even living as a pro-diver, and Malapascua could easily be the place to live out that dream

Eddie
