Are you looking to escape from the everyday hustle and bustle and long to be on a tiny tropical island, surrounded by white sandy beaches, crystal blue seas filled with colourful fish and turtles, and relax under the trees in a hammock? Well look no further! At beautiful Pom Pom Island Resort you can find paradise. You can reach us in only 45 minutes by speed boat from Semporna where you will be warmly greeted by our friendly staff. Our quiet and peaceful unpretentious Resort is the perfect place for couples and families to find time to be together, where you can take moonlight walks round our Island (it takes about 40 minutes) swim with turtles and tropical fish, enjoy sunbathing on white beaches, and listen to the wind whispering through the trees.

Situated surrounded by 6 islands, we are ideally located for all keen divers to explore our sites and search for famous rare species of fish and enjoy “Muck Diving”. By now it has become a challenge to see who can find the tiniest and most unusual sea creature, the fundamental of “Muck Diving”. We have over 40 sites all reachable by boat within approximately 20 - 30 minutes. We were authorised in November 2008 as a PADI Diving Centre which we run with very caring and professional international and local staff. To make your diving pleasure effortless and totally relaxing, our staff carry your cylinders and prepare your equipment on the boat before your arrival. You just need to don your equipment and enjoy our dives.

PADI COURSES For those who are curious about diving or those who maybe haven't dived for some time, our experienced and caring Instructors can offer a variety of courses from Discover Scuba Diving through to Dive Master. Take your first breath underwater with us and see turtles!
For experienced divers, build your experience and enjoy diving with us finding some amazing marine life.

Our diving schedule comprises of 2 morning dives and an afternoon dive. In the morning we leave after breakfast for the first two dives to one of the nearby surrounding islands. Depending on conditions we can sometimes visit the beaches and take our surface interval break enjoying a refreshing drink and snack. After the second dive, we return for lunch and then in the afternoon we make our third dive at one of our Pom Pom Island sites. We can arrange self dives before sunset from our jetty. Using the buddy system, you will be able to observe the shy and spectacular Mandarin fish. If this is not enough to satisfy your needs, we can arrange exciting night dives off our nearby reefs, for passionate photographers this is the ideal time to observe amazing macro life. 

We are ecologically responsible Resort using traditional local methods of construction perfectly integrated to balance with the ambiance of our Island so you can enjoy staying with us being confident that you have made a responsible choice and are eco aware. Pom Pom Island is the proud owner of a reverse osmosis re-cycling rainwater system unique in this area alongside promoting conservation efforts and running a successful turtle hatchery. We also have our own fruit garden for you to explore. At the heart of our resort is awe inspiring, stupendous creation of timber consisting of 28 trucks of Belian trees. This design allows everyone to have their own space, and not feel crowded. It is divided into areas for the restaurant, bar and saloon and has ample room for up to 200 people. Food served is traditional Malay and European to suit all tastes.

Our packages include 3 meals per day plus free flow of snacks, juices, coffee and teas. Our pastry chef prepares sweets and desserts throughout the day. The Resort has a range of 31 luxury detached Villas comprising of Beach, Garden, Hexagon and Water Villas all of which have air conditioning and fans, spacious en-suite shower or bathroom with hot showers, own shaded balcony or terrace with sunbeds. The water Villas offer panoramic views over the sea and are designed with own bathroom,whilst the Beach villas are nestled under trees with sea views. For nature lovers look no futher, you can enjoy turtle spotting from our jetty or by swimming in our beautiful warm seas. You maybe lucky enough to witness baby turtles running to the beach from our hatchery which we have organised according to WWF protacol. We have some amazing colourful wild birds that you can find when walking around our island. We are in the process of re-planting parts of our coral reef, to help the turtles and other marine life with shelter and food. Join our turtle patrol on one of their nightly walks. Surrounding our Island, the Celebes Sea offers the chance to see a vast range of tropical fishes and corals.
