The west Australian town of Esperance is situated on the south coast in the middle of Albany and the border of south Australia. Also called the Shire of Esperance, it serves as a home of major industries like agriculture, fishing, and tourism. Since Esperance attracts tourists from both the nearby towns and other countries, it is a perfect getaway for people who are looking for a brief vacation composed of swimming, surfing, and scuba diving. The numerous attractive beaches present in the place is very much accessible to most tourists since Esperance is just 1h:30 flight from the Perth capital. When coming to Esperance, the first exciting thing you can do is to drive along through the long and beautiful coastline of the several beaches. When you drive by Twilight Beach, Fourth Beach, Salmon Beach, Blue Haven Beach, Chapman's Point, then to West, you will see the extended and enchanting shoreline comprising white sands, round granite cliffs, plus the pristine ocean which changes in color, from an aquamarine look by the shore then to a rich blue by the water depths near the Recherche archipelago.

Diving in Esperance
Esperance ranks among the top destinations for diving enthusiasts, and is among the ten greatest diving spots in Australia. The town boasts of more than 200 islands surrounded by turquoise-colored clear waters and more than 140 islands composing the Recherche Archipelago. The Esperance waters, specifically the Bay of Isles, are rich in colorful sponges and soft corals, big pelagic fishes, blue groupers, jumbo crayfishes, seals, dolphins, weedy and leafy sea dragons, plus the numerous Abalones.
Also, there are swimthroughs, granite walls, large caves, and wonderful drop-offs bound to amaze every tourist diver. All these marine features make up the general beauty of Esperance that makes the place an unforgettable destination for many divers.
Few dive Sites are Remark Island, Lion Island, Long Island.

Aside from these water creatures and coral reefs, Esperance also promises a close experience with The Sanko Harvest, the biggest diveable ship wreckage in the Austrialian waters and the second biggest in all oceans. The Japanese carrier, extending to 174 metres in length, sunk in 1991, 32 km away from the port of Esperance. The Sanko Harvest now attracts hundreds of tourists as a wonderful diving spot and a magnificent marine park.

Apart from its marine parks, Esperance has five major national parks, with the Cape Le Grand National Park as the primary park for most tourists. This famous park is just 56 kilometres away from the town centre and is very accessible to vacationers. Very popular to hikers, four-wheel-drive fanatics, and fishing enthusiasts, Cape Le Grand National Park promises a spectacular view of white sand beaches and big granite terrains.
