DescriptionThe Croatian coast has been famous since centuries for its natural beauty. 1100 Islands, the crystal-clear water (visibility over 30 metres) and the pleasant sea temperatures make diving in Croatia an enjoyable experience. The Croatian coastline has been a destiny for many divers since decades, especially the area between the Island Kirk and the mainland is well know as an attractive diving area. Istria and the island of Kirk and Cres already have many diving centres but in the more southern province of Dalmatia, right in front of the national park "Kornati" ( more then 360 islands) diving is only recently developing.
The area is amongst the cleanest anywhere in the Adriatic. This is mainly due to the absence of heavy industry. Visibility is very good; 30m visibility is no exception. Only recently several locations of the national park Kornati are open for scuba diving. These locations where fishing has been prohibited since the 1980 have richly overgrown walls and reefs. Daily tours to these locations are regularly organised (An additional fee has to be paid for entrance and a diving permission for the park). You can expect sea slugs or nudi branches, lobsters, sponges, red and yellow gorgonia's, white coral and many typical Mediterranean fishes on our diver sites. Because of the sandy bottom rays and sometimes cat and dog sharks can be spotted. You can enjoy this colourful world in crystal clear water with temperatures over 25°C. All dives are made per boat so a quit a number of different locations are accessible. Ger from Bougainville. User reviews
