Description for the dive shop Scubaversity- South Africa

The club was named Scubaversity and moved out to Ruimsig where Colwin and Mandy proceeded to plan and build the facilities. More instructors qualified and joined staff and the club is expanding even more. Introducing the un-equivalent experience of freedom under water to all who dare to be adventurous.
The club was established in 1992 by Colwin Setzkorn as part of the South African Breweries Sport and recreational facility. Colwin completed his instructors course and promoted diving among his colleagues. At first it catered only for Breweries staff but, being a family event, it soon opened to non staff members. The membership grew at a steady pace. Colwin recruited Andre and Mandy to assist him in the training and instruction of new members. When they completed their course and became instructors too, the club grew in steadily in numbers.
The SAB club could no longer sponsor the events since there were more non-employees than SAB staff in the club.

Colwen helped me reach my instructor status and his direct involvement in my training to Instructor level gave me the plat form to work from. The club thrives on Top level training but also top level people. I base my clubs principles on Colwins and it's a winning recipe. Scubaversity - Colwin is a great club to be involved with and anybody that joins will never look back.

The culture he embraces in his business and club go unrivalled as far as i am concerned. This can also be seen on trips away to the coast amongst the members who portray the fun and excitement and energy captured there.

Its a safe professional and most importantly a social experience.
