The case below is not for diving but snorkeling. So condition are different. For example quality of air should not be considered as they dont use tanks, equipment condition doesn't refer to the mask,fin and snorkel but the engine failure. For

If you are reading this take head. My family and I booked a trip snorkel to snake island to see seals. Ed, the owner of Sundown runs a shotty outfit. The store is a complete mess, his dive boat is a total heap (we broke down and had to be towed home). Ed charged us $357 (4people) and offered zero in the way of interest on the way to the site. Then he pulled up at a place near the island and basically pointed in a direction and said okay see you at the end. No talk about safety, how to interact with the seals (didn't have to worry a)bout that though those seals are harrassed and don't want anything to do with you. Its a joke and he knew it. There were 8 of us on the boat (my family and another family of 4). This guy took $720 from the group for a 3 hour lesson in what not to look for in a diving shop. Sundown must be writing their own Tripadvisor reviews because they are all 5 stars. Take a pass on going to see the seals. Its a disappointment at best and a total rip off.

We have been in business coming up on 30yrs next year and although of course cant please everyone but have had great feedback from our clients over the years. In this situation noted below it is very dissapointing to see something like this show up. In the situation that occured unlike what "Dan" had stated we did give a briefing before everyone went into the water on the interraction with the seals including not to stand up out of the water which scares the seals he was the first one to do this scaring the seals for the other family. Also our boat did break down which was a new engine and had a main fuse go which I had no control over. Right away I contacted our store to get our second boat out to pick us up and within 30 min had our 2nd boat picking them off the shoreline of the island. He then mentioned to leave me and broken down boat at the site rather than tow me in so he could catch a ferry. I was not impressed with this comment which my other operator told me although I did not say anything to the client.
