DescriptionMore than just an island Mykonos, Southern Europe, bordering the Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea, between Albania and Turkey, is a state of mind. From its creamy white beaches and sparklingly crystal waters, to its Greek ambiance and mykonian hospitality, a visit to Mykonos will reveal to you a special place - just waiting to be enjoyed.
An island saturated with sunshine and drenched in natural beauty - the barren, rocky landscape rising haphazardly from the sandy shores is only the beginning... Diving unveils yet more of the wonders of Mykonos - encounter archaeological artifacts - just watch and don’t remove them from their locations- capture the rock wonderland with macro and close up photography, and marvel at the array of marine life whilst hand-feeding the fish. Crystal waters in Mykonos are not only safe but also full of interesting things with two shipwrecks and rich marine life. Visibility is high -ranging from 30 to 40 m- in all diving locations (except changing weather conditions). *Paradise Reef is one of the most often dived reefs. You will encounter the friendly grouper Tony and observe the hundreds of friendly wrasses. It is a very good location for beginners. *Grouper Rocks reef is one of the liveliest reefs in the area. Plenty of friendly wrasses follow the divers on the entire dive. The most important point of interest of this dive though is the antiquities that are encountered throughout the dive. And an example for those who are fond of Wreck Diving: Peloponisos is a wreck dated from the 1930s' which sank on the north eastern side of Mykonos next to a reef in the middle of the sea. She was a Greek ship and has been cut into two pieces. The ship remains in good shape. It is a difficult dive, though, which requires favorable weather conditions due to the wrecks' location. The reef is vivid with lots of colorful fishes and good visibility. Special Thanks to Chris for his help. WorldDivingReview. I did a few dives in Mykonos. The best spots are Anna II wreck and Kalafakiona reef, which are very close to the diving resort. This wreck starts from 20m depth until almost 30m and its 64m long according the instructor (60-70m around). scuba diving ii mykonos2 des 2 utilisateurs ont trouvé cet avis utile
