Description for the dive shop Geko Dive Bali
Geko Dive is Padangbai’s premier dive centre. Located right on the beach at the heart of a traditional fishing village for the past 15 years, Geko is the only PADI 5 Star and TecRec dive centre in East Bali. The Geko Dive Team welcomes you all year long, 7 days a week, in small groups of only 4 divers maximum and in your own language (Eng/Fr/De/Esp/Jap/Bahasa).
Geko Dive first opened in June 1997. At 15 years of age it is the oldest dive center in Padang Bai. Geko Dive has been a PADI Resort since 1998, and is now a PADI 5 Star Resort and TecRec technical dive center. We are fortunate to have one of Bali s best dive staff. Together, the Geko Dive Team can guide and teach in Balinese, English, French, German, Spanish, Indonesian and Japanese.
All of our dive guides are excellent divers, with years of working experience on Bali s dive sites. At the same time, SCUBA remains a passion first and foremost. Diving with Geko Dive has always been fun and serene. To make sure that it stays this way, we are not planning to get any bigger than we already are. Dive factories and diving in large herds are not things that the Geko Dive Team enjoys. Diving should be a personal experience! We therefore keep dive groups small (4 max and often less), with similarly experienced divers together.We believe all our guests deserve the ultimate diving adventure with utmost enjoyment and safety.
The Geko Dive team dives on most dive sites around Bali from Padang Bai, Gili Tepekong/Mimpang/Biaha, Nusa Penida: Drift, Crystal Bay or Manta Point and Nusa Lembongan in the East of Bali to Tulamben and Amed in the North. We can also offer dives at Menjangan and Gilimanuk for divers who join us for a dive package.
Recreational dive courses: we offer range from PADI Discover Scuba Diving to PADI Assistant Instructor, through Open Water Diver, Advanced, Rescue and Divemaster along with many specialties including self-reliant and side mount diver.
Technical dive courses: we offer range from TecRec Tec 40 to Tec 50, through Tec Sidemount and Gas Blender. We can also guide divers on technical fun dives and are happy to help with your technical dive expeditions.
We also offer the full range of EFR - Emergency First Response courses from Responder to Instructor level.

I dove with Geko last September specifically to find the mola mola, to of all the dive shops I visited they were the most professional in my opinion. They made sure to check my dive certification before going to the mola mola dive sites as they were more difficult sites than most, they were very safety conscious and I had some really great dives with them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys!

I have lived in Padang Bai since early August 2012 but I have been diving with Geko since 2007 when it had different owners. The current owner management team are very professional and friendly at the same time. The atmosphere at the dive centre is very relaxed and friendly but they take diving seriously.
The staff are extremely experienced and know the dive sites and the current conditions. If they see from the surface that the conditions are dangerous, you go elsewhere.
Padang Bai has some very diverse diving from Manta's and sharks (always) to Mola Mola in the season to wonderful corals and great macro life.
Come and join us for a great welcome, you won't regret it.
