Description

India, a SCUBA Diving Heaven waiting to be discovered

India has made its name in almost all sectors, be it sports, business, travel, etc. It is a country visited by tourists in vast numbers. The beauty on land is well appreciated, but sadly, the beauty below the surface of the water remains largely ignored and undiscovered. With spectacular coral reefs and amazing marine life, SCUBA Diving in India is heavenly.
Our sole aim is the promotion of the sea and the sport of diving in all possible aspects – something that is to date our ruling directive. Our passion for being underwater, and the consequent desire to conserve our breathtaking ocean inheritance, is the foundation upon which our entire approach to diving stands. This means that whether you wish to join us just for a snorkeling trip or sign up for a Dive Master course, we want you to experience the same sense of wonder and awe that we feel every time we descend into the blue.

Below mentioned are the top three spots to dive in India.

Lakshadweep Islands

Untouched and undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of city life, Lakshadweep islands are pristinely clean and beautiful. Entry to the islands is mainly restricted to SCUBA Divers only, as you need a permit from the government of India in order to visit the protected islands. Located in the Laccadive Sea around 400 kms away from the western coast of India, diving is conducted mainly off the islands named Kadmat, Agatti and Bangaram. With the visibility being around 25 to 40 meters the diving offered is by far the best in India, and one of the best in the world.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Located in the Bay of Bengal, the 572 islands that form the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are approximately 1400 kms from the east coast of India and 640 kms from the west coast of Thailand. They offer spectacular diving. Jacques Cousteau, who needs no introduction, was so awestruck by the sights that in 1991 he made a film showcasing the Andaman islands called ‘The Invisible Islands’. Visibility is 15 – 25 metres. An explosion of fish life greets you at most dive spots. Sighting the shy dugongs here is not uncommon too!

Goa

One of the most popular tourist destinations in India, Goa is on the western coast of India. Renowned for its beaches, places of worship and world heritage architecture, Goa is visited by large numbers of international and domestic tourists each year.
The diving in Goa is good, not great. The visibility on a good day 5 meters. It offers one shipwreck - Suzy’s wreck aka SS Rita. Making a special trip to Goa just to dive is not advised, but if in Goa, doing a couple of dives can be nice.
