Castaway Divers is built around the idea 'If we came to Koh Lipe to dive, what would we want?'
We like the personal touch, so each dive master/instructor takes a maximum of 4 divers. We like small groups, so we dive with a small group of divers and instructors/dive masters on board. We wanted a boat that gets us on top of our dive sites quickly and in comfort, so we took the local fishing boat design and improved it. Then we customised it to make a great dive boat.
Great. Then we thought: 'Well, what else do we like?'
We like to dive a lot! We like to dive in the mornings, the afternoons and the evenings. If we could we'd even dive in our sleep! So we take the boat out 3 or 4 times a day doing 1 or 2 dives each trip, giving you plenty of choice. We dive a lot of different sites so that there is something for everyone. Fancy a morning reef dive on shark watch? Interested in macro life? How about night diving? Or a muck dive?
We offer all levels of SDI and PADI courses and specialty courses such as deep, drift, photography and more. Our staff are very experienced and know the local dive sites and marine life. Want something special out of your dive? Ask us and we can probably make it happen.

Too many dive centres focus on selling without taking responsibility for teaching people the skills of diving. We believe strongly in safety and education and we foster self-responsibility and safety awareness in all divers that pass through our centre.
The Lonely Planet in their 2008 edition of ‘Thailand’s Islands & Beaches’ selected the resort as their ‘OUR PICK’ for Koh Lipe . They said that the resort is the “most chic on Lipe” and that the “food is excellent and the ambience divinely romantic”. They praised us as “one of the most environmentally friendly”.
