DescriptionSimilan Islands National Park was established a Marine National Park in 1982. The park is an archipelago consisting of nine islands named Ko Bon, Ko Bayu, Ko Similan, Ko Payu, Ko Miang (two adjoining islands), Ko Payan, Ko Payang, and Ko Huyong. Recently, the park was expanded to included two remote islands named Ko Bon and Ko Tachai. The Similans are situated 60 kilometres west from Khaolak, Phangnga. Similan is one of the most famous diving sites in Thailand, and noted as one of the top ten dive destinations in the world according to the National Geographic Society. Characterized by huge granite boulder formations, wooded jungle hillsides and a huge array of both woodland and marine plant and animal species, the islands are an ideal, easy-to-reach destination for dive safaris, sailing and snorkeling trips, hiking and birdwatching. The immense diversity of the islands and marine sites guarantees each and every visitor an unforgettable experience, above and below the surface of the water. Welcome to the Similans!

one of the best place to do scuba diving and hang around with friends . Clear water, mild temperatures and abundant plankton enable the development of vast, healthy coral reef formation in The Similan and Surin protected Islands. Great diving with white sandy beach and crystal clear water!3 of 4 people found the following review helpful
I really enjoyed my 4 days on a Similan Live Aboard. Am just a beginner and found the experience perfect!
